November in Jack's World

Hello out there!
Boy has it been a while since we updated Jack's place here, and boy has he been busy! Halloween weekend found us celebrating the wedding of Chris and Cathy (Jack's first wedding) and enjoying the pumpkin nonni brought for Jack (see photo).

The following weekend nonni came to Arizona for some fun and sports in the sun. First up was an Arizona Fall League game (baseball in November- can you believe it!?) where some of the Giants young talent teamed up with players from other MLB teams to play a shortened season. Jack had his baseball gear ready (see photo and outfit in video) and a kind young man who shagged a foul ball gave it to Jack as a keepsake. That Monday night the 49ers were in town to play the AZ Cardinals, and Jack was right there too, attending his first NFL game. He was ready in his 49er shirt and helmet (see photo) if the 49ers needed him, which they probably should have, given the result of the game.

These last two weeks have brought major changes to our world, making the emergence of Jack's 5th tooth seem rather ordinary. First up Jack discovered that his hands not only put toys and paper in his mouth, but food too! We made this discovery with those irrestistable Cheerios and have become very adept at putting all kinds of food in our mouth now. Second, we are a walking machine! Jack has begun to walk a few steps without assistance from us or the furniture. He took his first steps walking between the coffee table and bookcase, making it 3 steps before falling to the ground. It has been such a thrill for us to watch him grow even more independent, and we look forward to this next phase as Jack delights in walking and seeing the world from a new vantage point.

Finally we have included a video of Jack playing with his race car, first pushing it all over the house and then riding on it with some help from dad. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Love to all,
J, J, & S
