Northwest Adventures

Hey All!
We had a fantastic time on our journey north to cooler and greener climates. First stop was Portland where we spent almost a week with Stacey and Ben, meeting cousin Kyan (Jack's cousin on mom's side) (see photo) for the first time, as well as adopted aunt and uncle Ryan and Rebecca (see photo). Jack got to ride a bus and train for the first time, picked strawberries on Sauvie island (see photo), went to the beach, ate cheese at Tillamook cheese factory, shopped at the Farmer's and Saturday markets, played in Washington Park, chose books to bring home at Tidal Wave, and delighted in the company of all his admirers. We had such a magnificent time and thank Ben, Stacey, Ryan, Rebecca, Zack, Hilary and Victor for all the fun times, good food, games and laughs.

Next stop was Boise where we spent 4 days with Jack's grandma and grandpa. Jack got to meet a host of loved ones for the first time including his uncle Eric and cousin Garrison (see photo), Christa and Keegan, dear friend and the woman who married Scott and I, Becca, as well as childhood and college friends Kenny, Darren, and Annie and Gavin and all of their children. Jack got to play at the park, pick raspberries with his grandpa, wander in the mountains, and celebrate father's day with his dad and grandpa. Overall it was a fantastic vacation that took us to the ocean, forest, mountains, farms, and high desert to see so many people who mean so much to us.

Jack is 17 months now (time does fly)! He said his first 2-word sentence the other day ("dad bye-bye" after Scott left for work), learned how to nod yes ("no" has been happening for months now) and is eagerly anticipating the arrival of his nonni Jacki and aunt Olivia who move to town on Wednesday, followed by great-grandpa Jack next week.
Love to all,
J,J & S
